Enjoyable pressure for the Cherries

Captain Tommy Elphick admitted that his team were playing with a smile against Reading. I don't even think he could believe how well the Cherries are playing. "It's incredible form," he said. "There are potential banana skins," he went on to say but the prize at the end of it all could be immense.

I like the way that the team is not only playing with confidence but is also talking confidently. They seem to have no fear and are just so focused on the task in hand which is the next game. It is just incredible how the Cherries have gone from an inexperienced Championship outfit to the team to fear. They have done it through lots of hard work I am sure and as a fan it's just so pleasing for us to see a group of players who want to do well for their manager, club and the town.

We are kind of getting used to seeing AFCB win games over the last five seasons and I have no doubt that the spirit that saved the club from extinction is still growing into something that is so powerful that the club could well have the momentum to reach the Premier League in the not so distant future.

Eddie Howe commented before the game that if it happens the club will deal with it. He may have been talking hypothetically for this season, but the players are enjoying the pressure of having the goal to try and finish in sixth place. While other teams are worrying about losing their place, the Cherries are actively looking to steal something from the rest and they are really closing in now.

I though that May would be a very quiet month, but I might have to start looking at that calendar soon if AFCB's season is extended.
