Gosling looking forward to challenge

Dan Gosling has been signing paper work ahead of his official start date at  AFCB which is today and he was all smiles as he looks ahead to the challenge facing him and his new team mates come this August. Having been in talks with Bournemouth for some time it appears that Dan was very much watching AFCB last season and their tilt at the play-off places. He even mentioned the Sheffield Wednesday home game as the one that halted the Cherries prospects of getting into the play-offs when speaking on Cherries Player.

His aim now will be to full get to know all the players and start training and getting to know more about his team mates. Eunan O'Kane and Junior Stanislas he says he knows, having played with Eunan and Everton and Junior on England youth team duties. While Dan is respectful of his new team mates and how well they did last season, he will know that he has been brought into the squad to help make the difference between narrowly missing out on the play-offs to being in them next season. Eddie Howe still hopes to bring in more quality though this summer and both Dan and Junior are unlikely to be the only ones that can give the team more of a push up the league.

Lewis Grabban has still not been replaced and Eddie Howe will surely fill that gap in the coming weeks. With the squad flying out to its Austrian training camp soon I am sure that Eddie Howe would have liked to have a new striker already at the club but the team is looking stronger already as it prepares for another difficult season in the Championship.
