Cherries keep things the same and keep winning

It would not have been a major surprise if Eddie Howe had wanted to change a few players for the Sheffield Wednesday fixture, having seen a couple of goals go in against Brighton. The first goal last Saturday we are now reliably informed by BBC Radio Solent was offside, even though it counted on the day. Eddie Howe certainly did not see a need to change the back four or midfield following the game and headed into the Sheffield Wednesday match looking for another clean sheet.

AFCB players are being given a good run in the team.

Tinkering with the team is often the downfall of many manager, but Howe is not seeing a need to rest players all the time and while he has said there will be rotation things have quietened down from early season. The main names on the bench are players that are capable of being starters, and it is really a statement now when we see players as talented at Junior Stanislas, Shaun MacDonald and Eunan O'Kane not always making the bench. But I would not be shocked if those three players still have a major part to play in the fate of AFCB during the course of this season.

Keep it quite, touch some wood, but we have been lucky with injuries so far. If we did lose a few players though it appears that there is plenty of cover and the quality about those to come in that results would continue to be strong. There is a lot of talk about the speed in which AFCB have climbed the league, but it is apparent that the players have sought to keep their heads down and work for better results. Any lack in concentration will see the club drop out of contention just as swiftly. It is a case of every game being a cup game from here on in and let's just see how far that takes the Cherries.
