Cherries' lightning attacks rip Wednesday apart

There is a real potency about the Cherries' on the road. AFCB have such pace and power in the side that they always seem to be in the game when playing away from home, and while we have wondered where the cutting-edge had been in past seasons, there is no doubt that this Bournemouth side is getting more ruthless in front of goal.
Surman fired the Cherries ahead.
It was pleasing to hear that Andrew Surman was again on target for the second time this season and is filling his boots by getting into scoring positions more regularly. We also saw that Ryan Fraser came off the bench to make it a two-nil win at Hillsborough. That was Ryan's first goal of this season and Tommy Elphick must be thinking it's my turn soon!

It does not really matter who is scoring, but with Callum Wilson still leading the way it is great that so many other players are now chipping in on the score sheet. It was also good to see that Eddie Howe kept with two up front no matter what the opposition, and that sends out a message to teams that the Cherries are going for wins on away soil.

The Cherries of course were fortunate that Royston Drenthe collected a second yellow card on the night and was sent off, but the Cherries still showed how good they are at stretching teams that are a man short and that opening is all they needed to grab hold of the game and secure the win. Eddie Howe said he felt that the team was dominant even before the sending off.
Ryan is off the mark with his first goal of the campaign.
For fans it is going to be hard to reign back in expectations, but being top of the league is something that every fan can enjoy, and with the team playing this well there is reason to get a little excited. There is still a long way to go, but we can look forward to the Middlesbrough game knowing that it will be two great teams battling it out to lead the Championship going into the third international break.

Well done to all those fans that made the trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night. Great support!
