Have the wheels fallen off for Wolves?

What has happened to Wolves in recent week? Since the 5-0 tonking by Derby County away they have stumbled and stuttered quite badly at home with a 0-3 defeat to Forest and a 4-0 thumping away at Brentford. So what do we make of this Wolves team that was starting to make the Championship look quite easy only a month ago?

Every team goes through a bad patch when wins are hard to come by, but Wolves fall from grace has seen them slump from fourth on 27 October to 12th just a month later. It must be a worry for Kenny Jackett who needs to settle his team down really quickly now. He has admitted that they played too openly against Brentford who ripped them apart in the second half of their last game. It was a similar story against Nottingham Forest and it may just be that the Derby defeat inflicted more damage than just the three points on that day.

Wolves are still getting good amounts of possession in their games and yet in their last home game against Forest they only managed 10 efforts at goal, whereas they had racked up 22 shots against Birmingham at home, just before their run of four defeats. So it must be disturbing to the Wolves fans that they have not scored in more than 270 minutes of football.

They need Bakaray Sako and Leon Clarke to start firing again. It will be a real battle for Tommy Elphick and Steve Cook to keep them quiet as the Cherries have not kept a clean sheet in their last two games. Bournemouth's away from has been strong though and they seem to like such challenges. Wolves also have their injury worries with Nouha Dicko and Ethan Banks-Landell looking likely to miss out along with Scott Golbourne. Kenny Jackett has recalled Jack Price though from his loan at Leyton Orient.
