Wilson's return will help Cherries' belief

It was bad news to hear that Callum Wilson was not able to take to the pitch against Millwall last weekend. The team is not dependent on any one player, but when Callum is out it is clear that the side is not as potent in attack as when he is leading the line. His return will give the team a big boost and I am more confident that he may be fit to make the trip to Wolves.

Whenever Callum is on the field you feel that Bournemouth could score, if the ball gets to him. It is not great though for the team to be over reliant on any one player and this season I have been pleased to see so many different scorers get on the score sheet for the team. Callum though will not only want to keep his goal scoring going but to build a relationship with Yann Kermorgant as a strike partnership. The two of them have had a bit of a stop start season and together they have not quite hit the top form that I think they could do in the coming months.

If the team can get Yann and Callum on a hot run of goals the team will start to look like the team that can secure promotion this season. While some parts of the team have clearly clicked, there is a likelihood that the more games that a settled front two can play together the more they will be able to help each others game. So far this season, Callum and Yann have started 10 league matches which is just over half the 19 matches. Keeping them both on the field is something that I expect Eddie Howe will want to do more in the second half of the season if AFCB are going to have more joy.
