Lewis Grabban returns to Dean Court

Lewis Grabban may be scratching his head about his summer move to the Canaries having left a club that now sits top of the league, but he will be in no mood to be that congratulatory to his former teammates come 3pm on Saturday. Lewis has found it hard to get a consistent starting place in the Norwich team and if he gets the opportunity to start against the Cherries he will be a significant threat for Tommy Elphick and Steve Cook to deal with.

Up at Carrow Road, Grabban snuck in to head an early goal and Bournemouth will be hoping to do better for this game. Keeping him quiet though is going to need AFCB's midfield players to get on top of the game and stop the forward passes to his runs off the ball. We have seen Lewis score all kinds of goals against teams at Dean Court and he'll feel very much at home.

Comparisons will be drawn between Grabban and Callum Wilson and in many ways this is a match up that fans will be pleased to see. I see Grabban as perhaps the more accomplished striker in setting up team mates with assists as well as scoring himself, but Wilson is better in certain situations like one-on-ones. A little more tuition from Eddie Howe though and I can see Wilson becoming the better striker as he has already achieved so much this season.
Confidence means everything to these striker and at the moment Callum and Lewis have been finding the net hard to come by, but this could be the day for one of them and I would like nothing better than to see Callum get a hat-trick to let Lewis Grabban know that his money was well spent when he left the Cherries last summer.

The latest report from the BBC says that Lewis Grabban is still a doubt though for the match which would be a big pity. It will be interesting to see if he travels.
