Cherries do a professional job at Wigan

There is a confidence about AFCB now that is starting to help them get results on a regular basis. Away at Wigan they could have buckled when the cross bar was hit early on and yet they did not dwell on Wigan's bright start and worked their way into the game to come out the stronger. The control they established kept the ball in the areas of the pitch where they could do most damage and with so many players in AFCB's team that are in form in front of goal it was only a matter of time before they got some rewards. 

I don't think AFCB have been playing outstanding football in their last few games but they are learning to get the first goal and to manage games much better. Even when Wigan pulled a goal back, the thought process was to go and get another goal. The team also played to the conditions on a pitch that cut up fairly quickly. It might mean that the Cherries look untidy at times, but on winter pitches you can't always play pretty football and AFCB need those qualities of mixing it with teams.

Callum Wilson keeps the Cherries on track with a brace of goals. 

"We bossed the game really. They started quite quickly, but once we got control in the first half you know, I thought we played really well," said Andrew Surman "We played some really good football and on quite a difficult pitch it was quite boggy."

Of course the pitch at Dean Court will be very different and Derby will also appreciate that and it will be very exciting to see who comes out on top with both teams going well at the moment.
