Not much room for error if Cherries want promotion

The top of the Championship is an exciting place but with seventh place just eight points off the top of the table it is going to be painful for some clubs who find that they don't even make the play-offs, let alone miss out of automatic promotion. I am not sure if AFCB fans have even thought about the possibility of missing out on a top six place but there will be one team that drops into that unenviable position.

The closeness of the league is really quite astonishing with just 15 games to go. Three wins in a row will pull a team well clear I would imagine, yet that is not such an easy thing to do these days. While goal difference could also play its part in proceedings there is really only Ipswich Town and Brentford of the front runners that could find that a concern come May as most of the teams have a healthy goal balance.
AFCB have to keep the pressure on others by taking
their chances. Arter is out but may be Dan Gosling will find himself in the team.
It is surprising that after 31 games the teams at the top can still be this close. It is likely that small details are going to settle the placings and Eddie Howe has already said that he expects it to go to the wire. While that makes things exciting for the football fan that doesn't have their team in the play-off positions, it is going to get mighty stressful in the coming weeks and I hope that AFCB fans are ready to either have some wild celebrations or be ready for heartbreak.
Everyone has to be on top form now.
Recent results have made the heart sink a bit but the strange thing is that AFCB are still in and around the best place they could be at such a late stage in the season. At least this season AFCB have been right in the mix no matter what happens. I'm already proud of the club for that.

As for today, some of you will have seen that I am predicting a 2-3 win for the Cherries and I have a sneaky suspicion that Dan Gosling just might start ahead of Macca, because of his ability to often come up with a goal - I just hope whoever plays in midfield has a great game. UTCIAD!
