It's start again time for the Cherries

The international break has given Eddie Howe and the players a bit of time to reflect on their first three premier League games. While several players have been away on international duty the thoughts of AFCB have not been far away from their thoughts and Jermain Defoe was adamant in one his interviews that AFCB are not going to be in a relegation scrap despite their poor start.

The Cherries have to begin again and try and get some points on the board at Arsenal.
The team can't really wipe the slate clean though. The defeats were very real and a negative result at Arsenal would make it the worst Premier League start for the Cherries. They have to draw a line at some point and while a point against Man City would have been hard earned it didn't come. That leaves them looking up the table and the pressure is really on now against a side that they have never beaten in the Premier League. Every game is different though and Howe needs to give his players confidence from somewhere.

The players won't completely get the defeats out of their head but the break has reset the clock. The focus has to be on the positives and trying to ensure that the creative players are making chances again. But at the back AFCB have not yet kept a clean sheet and if they manage that at the Emirates it would be a result that would at least give them a bit of reassurance.

Having made changes last time Eddie may not be as keen to change things too much for the Arsenal match. The group as a whole need to improve and fight for each other. The players have created the situation they are and they can find away out of it, with one good result. Three points now would change the picture, coming against a team like Arsenal. But if the results continue to slide we will soon find out those who Eddie is most disappointed in.

The key games this coming month, I believe, will come against Brighton in the league and cup double header. If AFCB win both they would start to feel a lot more confident, but the teams Eddie picks in both games will be very interesting to see, as if he changes all the players he will get a very good comparison of where all his players are at, even if Brighton change some of their players. AFCB need a wake up for sure and it just may be the derby matches that ignite AFCB's season.

Lewis Cook helped England's U21s to a 3-0 win at dean Court over Latvia. Harry Arter was an unused sub in Rep Ireland's 0-1 defeat to Serbia, while Asmir Begovic played in goal for Bosnia-Hezegovina's 0-4 win in Gibraltar.

The Guardian has posted a summary on AFCB's Summer transfer business and the rest of the Premier League.
