Are Huddersfield feeling the strain?

By the look on the faces of Huddersfield players last Tuesday night when they won through 1-4 against Birmingham City in the FA Cup, there was not too much to worry about for David Wagner in that competition. I just wonder though if he and his players are starting to get a bit more nervy about their survival in the Premier League now that they ave slipped into the bottom three.

but this is the first week they have been in the bottom three.

Of course, Huddersfield have time to tun it around and Bournemouth is the first of many home fixtures where the Terriers will be hoping to pick up points. While Mooy, Ince and Malone may well feature against AFCB having played in mid-week, I expect Wagner will make a few changes to the FA Cup side. Van La Para was making headlines earlier in the season and he only got half a game, so we can expect to see hi on Sunday, while Lowe and Hadergjonaj have been valuable defenders for Huddersfield and could come back into the side.

The problem has been goal scoring for the Yorkshire team. Laurent Depoitre has scored five goals and leads their table, but midfielder Aaron Mooy has chipped in with 4 and Steve Mounie has 4. I suppose their fans might have expected more from Tom Ince but the wide man has only netted once even if he is their player who shoots the most.

Huddersfield are not down yet and they will need to win this game. Whether that lays into AFCB's hands we will have to wait and see. But I'd imagine if Huddersfield are not winning by the 60 minute mark they may have to gamble and at the moment that is a dangerous game to play against this Bournemouth side that appear to get stronger as matches go on.
