Having played Wolves and coped well against their quick players who have scored numerous goals on the counter-attack against the top six, it was a shock to see Bournemouth look so open against Arsenal, when Bournemouth had the ball in the Arsenal half.
The errors are crippling when they happen through no good reason, other than individual mistakes, but the team can work on its shape at the breakdown and working how to channel players away from goal and preventing them from getting through passes away. Bournemouth seem much better protected when Lerma is of course in the team, but his absence was very apparent at Arsenal.
Bournemouth are also short of a few leaders. There's no Steve Cook, Simon Francis of Callum Wilson to get AFCB out of a hole. The big score line at Arsenal will be damaging to the players, but they will see plenty of clips of how they could have defended better against Arsenal's sweeping moves.
The thing that Eddie Howe needs at the moment is time with his players. He can sort the problems out, but he doesn't have much time before the next game.
