We have seen Bournemouth go on an unbeaten run of eight-games but they are some way behind Reading who are top the league. The Cherries really need to see back-to-back wins to start putting some pressure on the leaders, and yet playing Derby at home won't be a simple game because Derby are desperate for points for other reasons.
Derby County may not have started well, but Martyn Waghorn has started to get his goals going with two so far and one in the last match against Cardiff City that was so nearly the winner. Derby themselves are not losing games now but have been drawing their fixtures, and so they know they only need a bit of luck to start picking up more points. While Wayne Rooney is their talisman who has been self-isolating, h for this match is likely to be available to Philip Cocu and we know he can be a match-winner.
Bournemouth have to keep their consistency levels high and by bringing in David Brooks that might help freshen up the team. With Danjuma already hitting form, Bournemouth look to be in great strength on both flanks. The Cherries are looking more settled at the back as well having kept another clean sheet against Bristol City and Asmir Begovic is in terrific form. The unsung hero for me so far this season though is Jack Stacey. He has been fantastic going forward and has given the team much more creativity when they break and with Steve Cook doing well at blocking and getting to tackles first, the signs are starting to look better again for Bournemouth.

Now it is a case of kicking on. The players stepped up against Bristol City but could easily have come out worse in that game. Getting a whole 90-minute performance is now what Jason Tindall will want. We saw it against Coventry but that was before the international break and it is those standards that Bournemouth have to start hitting regularly.
It is probably time that Dominic Solanke showed what a player he can be and I'm expecting him to start showing the goal form he has been desperate to provide. He is getting nearer and this game is another chance for him to prove a few doubters wrong.

Any reason you don't believe King will be in the starting XI? Agreed this is an important match and would not be satisfied with 1 point after Reading's loss to Coventry yesterday. Need to gain ground. Need to shutdown Waghorn and keep a close watch on Rooney. Let's Go Cherries!!!
