Does Aké have a better future in midfield?

I remember reading in the MatchDay programme about Nathan Aké being flexible in his view about playing in central defence or in midfield. While he has not had many chances to play further up the field, he has definitely enjoyed playing next to Lerma, as he did against Tottenham, and his thrill at getting the winning game was there for all to see.

If Aké does not know if he is a better midfielder or central defender then it is probably hard for us to make a judgement. I get the impression that he would like to play in midfield. After all, who doesn't like to get the chance to score goals and push the team forward? The dilemma for Eddie Howe is that Aké is probably the team's best defender. Howe has to weigh up whether what he gains with Aké in midfield is more or less than if he uses him as a defender.

Currently, Aké is fulfilling a role in the middle of the park because there isn't really any one else apart form Hyndman who could do that. With Jack Simpson being asked to gain experience at the back, the obvious choice was to move Aké forward. He has done it before, and yet I really felt that this time he was very keen to do well in the central midfield role.

It may be that Aké will have a short time in central midfield, but playing in different positions can only help in making a player more aware of the challenges other players have in the team. He can get more understanding of the game, and if he likes playing there I don't see a problem. In fact, Aké is a player who likes to get involved and roll his sleeves up. If he can sniff a chance for a goal he'll do his best to get into the right position.

For me Aké' s reading of the game makes him a better defender than a midfield player, but while he has the energy to play in central midfield, it is a handy option for AFCB to have when they do get hit with injuries in that position.

Gosling can't stop scoring

What has happened to Dan Gosling of late? He seems to be popping up in all the right places to get on the score sheet and his goal against Southampton was just perfection. He will be missed now that he has a calf injury, but his season has been very much improved by his recent performances.

Bowling gets the job done.

I still can't understand why Bournemouth find it so hard to get many goals from central midfield. Even though the team likes to naturally play with wide men and get crosses in from the wings, AFCB should be creating more chances for their central midfielders to get on than they do. Dan Gosling has been inspired of late with a superb goal against Brighton and an even better one against Southampton, of which he owed a lot to the running ability of Josh King. But Gosling had to keep up and get himself along side the move which he started off with Lerma in his own box.

What Gosling does is bust a gut to make the extra man. Perhaps we have not seen that enough in some games and the running power of the team through the middle was so much stronger against Southampton, which makes you wonder why can the players do this now? I suppose they have been working on improving different aspects of the game, but Bournemouth look a better outfit when they have a midfield that can attack centrally as well as out wide.

It is a pity that Gosling won't be likely to make any more of those kind of runs this season, but we have to encourage Hyndman to step in and do as well as he did at the end of last season. Hyndman has certainly been under used and it will be important for him to try and fill Gosling shoes in the remaining games. On current form though that will be a huge challenge.

Hyndman's opportunity has arrived

The recall of Emerson Hyndman was predicted a few weeks ago by Cherry Chimes and while the former Fulham player has spent most of his time out on loan since joining Bournemouth, he has far more experience now and could well be ready to help AFCB in the Premier League.

Can Hyndman make Eddie Howe see him as more than a sub?

Hyndman, 22, has played 17 times for Hibernian this season and he should be in A1 form to go straight into the squad, if Howe wants to use him as cover for his central midfielders. It is quite a turnaround of fortunes for Emerson as he will be very much in mind to play apart if Lerma picks up another yellow card in one of the upcoming games. While he is unlikely to start against Watford, he will have been carefully monitored in the last few months for his progress and there shouldn't be anything about the Premier League to worry him.

It has not been clear why Hyndman has been asked to take on loan moves at Rangers and Hibernian to further his development, but he has played well in Scotland. He has played just seven times for AFCB, so it will almost be like joining a new club for Hyndman, even though he will be well aware of Jason Tindall and Eddie Howe's training regimes.

How soon can Hyndman make an impact? I'd say we could see him very soon indeed if there is a problem with Lerma or Surman, and he is a natural choice to play in central-midfield which would free-up Nathan Aké to remain in central defence. It may be the last chance for Hyndman to show what he can do at AFCB, but if he does well there are likely to be new contract talks for him this summer and that should be incentive enough for him.

Is Callum Wilson for Loftus-Cheek and cash deal value?

The noise has been growing about the possibility of Rubens Loftus-Cheek being a potential January signing for the Cherries with the Daily Mail promoting the idea. This would not normally have caught my attention so greatly if it were not that Rubens is finding it difficult to get a game at Chelsea, and with the injuries to the Cherries, Loftus-Cheek could be the carrot Sarri is willing to dangle in front of AFCB in order to get a chance of signing Callum Wilson.

Is Callum keen on staying at AFCB?

While Eddie Howe has said on record that Callum Wilson is not for sale, the striker's value is currently at its highest and Chelsea are in need of a striker to improve their team. Figures of £40m plus have been banded about as a possible fee to interest Bournemouth, but even if this is not attractive a cash deal plus Rubens Loftus-Cheek opens up a whole new outlook on the potential deal.

The difficulty for Howe is that he'd no doubt like Rubens and would want to keep Callum as well. The market though will dictate where Rubens will go with West Ham also interested in the midfielder. It has taken Wilson a good few years to play the Bournemouth way and while Loftus-Cheek would be a great addition to central midfield in the current circumstances, finding another Callum Wilson might not be so easy in January. Eddie Howe could also consider playing Emerson Hyndman in central midfield, or at least having him on the bench from February, as his loan deal at Hibernian was only for six months.

If Wilson were to go and leave Bournemouth, would King, Defoe and Mousset, the strike force will be a fair few goals weaker. Playing Brooks or Stanislas as a striker has not really brought as many goals and the importance of Wilson has been seen in recent matches against Liverpool when he was absent, and Wolves, when Callum only came on in the second half.

Every player has a price and if Callum wants to further his career in the capital it would be hard to stop him if he felt the time was right and Chelsea could match AFCB's valuation. But Howe may feel that losing his leading striker is just too much of a gamble, while he can manage the central midfield position with using some of his wide players to fill the gap.

Hyndman gives Howe something to think about

Eddie Howe has not been that generous in the time he has given Emerson Hyndman in a first team shirt. He is probably down at fifth or sixth choice to start in the middle of the park and yet the passing and movement he managed against Levante was a real credit to the player and will have registered with Howe not only because Emerson scored but more because he looked very at home on the pitch in this Bournemouth side.

I've been wondering what will happen with Hyndman next season. Will he be loaned out or is he ready to step up?  Perhaps Howe still doesn't know the answer yet, but if Hyndman can put in more performances when he instigates attacking moves and puts himself in great positions to score then he is going to be hard to ignore.

The competition for Hyndman is very difficult and he needs to prove he can play well consistently and to do it in the Premier League is a step that Howe has not really given Hyndman a go at for any number of games yet. But I felt that the last game of last season against Burnley was not just a thank you for Hyndman for not playing much and staying professional and training hard, but it was perhaps more of a platform to see if he could contest with a really tough Burnley midfield.

Levante might not have been as physical as Sevilla, but Hyndman is a player that will create and find gaps when he is allowed to have some space around the box. His play is very instinctive and flows when he is confident and I'd like to see more of him this summer. If he is a player that can force his way to the subs and is a good replacement when players get injured, we could start to see a bit more of the player that Rangers fans' thought a lot of.

Bournemouth and Levante played out an entertaining first half goal fest in La Manga. The Cherries had gone 0-2 up in the first 11 minutes through goals from Hyndman and Defoe and yet Levante struck back with three goals before half time, as Boruc was left exposed with some clever movement and some cool finishing from Boateng and Roger Marti. The second half was less open with the managers having had a word to close things up and it took Bournemouth until the last five minutes to find a way through. Lewis Cook provided it with a fabulous winning drive from some 25-30 yards out.

Bournemouth started against Levante with a similar team to that which took on Sevilla in the second half, although missing from that team were Mings, Surman, Pugh, Gosling and Ibe, while Steve Cook, Hyndman, Daniels and Jack Simpson had come into the starting line up. The whole team was then changed at half time with David Brooks playing up front with King and Surman again playing as a centre-back.


Match Description
Boruc makes an early third minute save from Levante's right winger. Bournemouth score a well worked goal on eight minutes with Fraser moving the ball out to the right to Mahoney, before a pull back laid the goal on for Hyndman. Fraser then popped a cross from the left that Defoe flicked past the keeper for 0-2 on 11 minutes. Boruc then saves well after Steve Cook had made a poor clearance.

Hyndman made a mistake in the middle of the park and was booked for pulling back a Levante midfielder. Boruc wanted to take goal kicks just to the edge of his box that caused some alarm. Levante's number 23 made a strong run into the box which was blocked, but the ball fell to Roger Marti who made it 1-2 scoring in the bottom right corner on 17 minutes. Boruc has to make another save high to his right from Remeseiro but he keeps it out.

Bournemouth are trying to get their passing going but a ball over the top to Boateng leaves him one on one with Boruc and he slips it under the Bournemouth keeper on 21 minutes to make it 2-2. Bournemouth start forcing the pace with a free kick and then a corner. The Cherries have the wind with them this half.

Fraser gets taken down by Levante's 17 who is booked. Levante have made an early sub on 27 minutes. Hyndman plays a lovely one-two to get him in the box and while he goes down Defoe's shot is blocked. Boateng is having to come off for Levante on 33 minutes.

16 cuts up the right before Levante's Roger Marti moves between Simpson and Cook and finishes well on the angle, across Boruc, to make it 3-2 to Levante on 34 minutes. Mahoney puts in a cross but it's just too high for AFCB's players. Mousset is struggling to get into the game. A corner to Bournemouth. Mahoney takes and Jack Simpson meets it at the far post with a header to make it 3-3 on 41 minutes.

Bournemouth are just a bit careless in giving the ball away in midfield and allowing Levante to break. So it's 3-3 at half time.

Second half
AFCB have made 11 changes at half time. Levante were on the attack straight away. But Bournemouth soon had a corner after Brooks hit the post. A run straight through the middle by Levante's number nine forced a save from Boruc with AFCB's central defenders outpaced. Bournemouth are putting a strong high press on. Levante manage to escape though. Lewis Cook and Gosling are not having it all their own way in midfield.

A couple of corners are cleared by Levante. King is a bit of a loan figure up front even if Brooks is trying to get the ball to him. Adam Smith gets a corner on 65 minutes. Ibe pulls a ball back for Surman to strike but he's blocked. Both teams are getting back well to defend when they lose the ball.

King gets to fire a ball across the box but it is cleared by Levante. Begovic takes a clean catch from the right wing. Brooks still looks a difficult player to keep quiet playing just off King. I like the look of him in an advanced position.

Both teams look much more set up to stop goals this half. Brad Smith has taken a knock. Bournemouth defend the corner well. A good run up the right from Adam Smith sees King chest down to Pugh who fires a volley off that the keeper touches over on 79 minutes.

Levante take a corner short and Begovic has to punch over the bar this time. Aké makes a mistake coming out with the ball and Lewis Cook has to rush back to get a block in. Brooks has got loads of running in him and wins the ball back well. A shot from King is just kept out before Lewis Cook smashes in a long right footed drive bottom left on 85 minutes 3-4. Cook's first goal for Bournemouth was worth waiting for.

King gives a foul away on Levante's number five. That's it.

Summary
While it was pleasing to see some goals the protection for Boruc was minimal at times and Levante slipped balls in for their strikers without much pressure from the Bournemouth players in the first half. The goals that Bournemouth made showed a good understanding for the first with Hyndman, proving perhaps that he deserves more time in a Bournemouth shirt on his performance. Hyndman was putting plenty of crosses in but usually they were too strong. Fraser was as usual a handful for the Levante defence. But it was interesting to see how Aké and Mings would cope with the Levante attack in the second half. They were far more in control and the player that caught the eye was David Brooks with his blond bonce chasing and running at players. Lewis Cook had been having a quiet game until his strike just at the end which settled matters in Bournemouth's favour. There will be plenty to contemplate from this match for Eddie Howe, and he'll be pleased that the players closed things up after half time. But the way Levante scored their goals will be less savoured by Bournemouth's manager.

Can Connor Mahoney get a Premier League start this season?

To be at Bournemouth football club is one thing and to play in the Premier League is another. Connor Mahoney was sent out to get another Championship season under his belt at Barnsley, but will be back training with the regulars this month in a pre-season that could see him boost his chances of getting that Premier League debut.

Can Connor Mahoney get Premier League games under his belt this coming season?

It may be hard for Connor to challenge the likes of Jordan Ibe so quickly, but he has seen how the pace of the Championship goes and now he could do with getting to know more about his parent club and the difference between the Championship and Premier League. It must have been fairly tough playing for Barnsley at the wrong end of the table and the game experience he will have taken on board in Yorkshire will no doubt stand him in good stead. But he'll have joined Bournemouth for the lure of the Premier League and to work with Eddie Howe, so I hope he great more opportunity to do that in the coming months.

Connor may need injuries to others to help him up the pecking order, but I'd like to think that Bournemouth do try and get young players in and around the first team as soon as they can and Connor's apprenticeship has been similar to Ryan Fraser's early days. Whether Connor has the skill and game craft to step up again needs to be tested, and I'd like to see him on the bench to give him some excitement of how he is in touching distance of what he wants.

Eddie Howe will of course make the decision when that is right for Connor and for AFCB. But keeping Connor on the right track and happy that he is making progress is going to be tough if he is still not involved like Jack Simpson has been with the first team. Add Emerson Hyndman and new signing David Brooks into the mix, and Bournemouth are starting to gather a few youngsters that are bubbling around the first team. Lys Mousset has shown that you can get into the team with hard work and persistence and I'm interested to see if there are some others like Connor who can push their way closer to the Premier League appearance that will really give them the bigger stage every football player wants.

Everton price Cherries out of the market for left-back

Brendan Rodgers is bracing himself for a £25m bid from Everton, according to the Daily Telegraph, for left-back Kieran Tierney at Celtic, who has been a suggested target for Eddie Howe this summer. Bournemouth though will have been blown out of the water with the bid that Everton is putting together for the player.

AFCB would have to smash their transfer record to sign Kieran Tierney.

Marco Silva has to make an impression at his new club and he seems set on making the signing happen. It is not clear how much AFCB were prepared to put up for the player, but seeing as AFCB's record signing is £20m at the present, it appears that the Cherries would have to smash that kind of price to sign Tierney. This may be one transfer that is just too hot for the Cherries now that Everton are also in the shop window for the player.

Bournemouth are still second favourites to capture the 21-year-old but their odds were slipping away on SKYBet after Everton were linked with the full-back. Whether AFCB can try and offer a player swap as part of any deal may be the only way they could take on Everton's bid for the player. But n such circumstances AFCB would have to offer something that Brendan Rodgers would be relishing to have at Celtic Park and the only carrot I can see that would excite him and fans is Jermain Defoe.

AFCB are perhaps not looking to see Defoe go out on loan, seeing as he played little football last season for the Cherries and Rangers have already made little impact in their attempts to sign the striker on loan.

Howe seems to have accepted that recruitment at AFCB is not going to be an exact science, even if the best possible considerations are made to try and limit the risks before players are bid for. 

Meanwhile, Emerson Hyndman may still play extremely well for a team like Wigan as he did at Rangers, but if he doesn't fit in well enough to the Bournemouth way of playing it's best to see if he can enjoy his career elsewhere and perhaps get a permanent move away or acquire the kind of qualities that Howe wants at AFCB.

Bournemouth midfielder set for Wigan loan

Emerson Hyndman is said to be considering a loan move to Wigan Athletic in the Championship, according to The Sun. Emerson played in the last game of the season for Bournemouth away at Burnley in a 1-0 win, but has found first team football hard to come by with the Cherries since his loan move ended at Rangers in the summer last year.

The choice to send Hyndman out on loan would indicate that Emerson is not considered ready yet to force his way into this Bournemouth team, and while that might be so I do wonder why Emerson was not loaned out last season? He certainly will know everything he has to about how AFCB play and what they require of him, and yet last January he could have gone out on loan then rather than find himself waiting for a game at the end of the season.

No doubt, Hydman's place will be taken by David Brooks who is thought to be imminently signing for AFCB from Sheffield United for a fee reported to be around £11.5m. For a Championship player it is a high price to pay if he is not going to get games and the tale of Emerson would perhaps be a warning to AFCB fans that not every player that is plucked from the Championship will turn out like Lewis Cook.

Go to Neil Warnock for transfer news - mystery Bournemouth signing

Bournemouth have not made a signing on record but confirmation that the Cherries have got a deal done comes from an unexpected source - Cardiff manager, Neil Warnock. Warnock claims that "Bournemouth have just bough a player that we were looking at actually, but it was more than what our budget was," said Warnock.

While Cardiff City are taking so much interest in ACB, why don't they look at Emerson Hyndman?

The Championship promotion specialist was reviewing the Premier League fixtures and in particular assessing Cardiff's chances in the first game of next season when he mentioned the transfer deal on Wales On Line last week. Why has there been no official announcement from AFCB? Has a deal been held up for some reason? My guess is that Sheffield United might have agreed to let David Brooks go after Bournemouth's continued pursuit. Warnock has strong contacts with United and will know all about the player who was playing games in the Championship.

Perhaps we can expect an announcement in the next day or two? We could find that the signing though is for a youth player that is not such headline news. The mystery player though is fascinating to speculate about.

While Cardiff our linked with an interest in Dan Gosling, I wonder if Eddie Howe would be more ken on passing on another Bournemouth midfielder who has not come up to the grade as far as Howe has shown so far - Emerson Hyndman. The midfielder played 59 minutes in Bournemouth's last Premier League game against Burnley before being replaced by Gosling and needs a club where he can play football having had little opportunity at the Cherries.

Burnley fans may be in Europe but a first win for AFCB at
Turf Moor is a great way for the Cherries to end the season.

Bournemouth salvaged a last minute winner to end their season with a flourish. In a pretty uneventful game, Bournemouth had much of the ball in the first half, but fell one-nil down to a Chris Wood goal that came from a deflection off a wayward shot from Jeff Hendricks. The second half brought a response from the Cherries, when Josh King finished neatly from close range and a draw seemed a fair outcome for a game that never really ignited. But Defoe made the most of a Burnley mistake and squared the ball to Callum Wilson who so needed a goal to finish the season as joint top scorer with Josh King.

AFCB made four changes with Tyrone Mings, Lys Mousset, Jordan Ibe and Emrson Hyndman getting starts and Simon Francis and Lewis Cook not in the squad, while Pugh and Wilson moved to the bench. It would be Hyndman's debut start for AFCB in a Premier League game. Simon Francis was ill, while Lewis Cook was rested presumably ahead of potential inclusion in the England World Cup squad.

Chris Wood starts instead of Ashley Barnes for Burnley in their only change.

Surman is captain today. Bournemouth start well with Mousset and Daniels making progress on the left. Josh King has given a  free kick away on half way. Aké is playing in the middle of the back three. Ryan Fraser picks himself up.

Lots of sunshine at Turf Moor. Fraser overruns a ball on the right for a goal kick. Josh King is scrapping well around the half way line.

Burnley come forward with Gudmundsson and he wins a corner off of Surman. Tarkowski has a week header but it's out for a goal kick. Most of Bournemouth's attacks are coming up the left with Daniels.

Burnley are letting the Cherries have the ball at the back. Ibe is taken down though. Some 11 minutes gone.

It's a quiet game. King has given away a free kick. Ward drives across goal and has a corner off his deflected shot. Aké got the block in. Aké rises and Begovic wins a free kick. Almost a mistake by Mings and Cork almost got to him.

Surman now and Daniels' cross doesn't beat his man. Fraser finds Ibe and drives the ball across the six yard box, but nobody gambles and its a goal kick.

Fraser now and Ibe finds Mousset and Pope saves well down to his right. Good stuff from Bournemouth but the keeper did well to keep Mousset from getting the first goal, bottom left corner.

Hendrick is getting froward and the deflected shot loops up to Begovic. Surman loses possession.

Tarkowski under pressure clears. Aké clears to Ibe. Cork and Wood on the left and Aké clears.

King, now Daniels runs on it and Pope makes the save! Another good chance from the Cherries. Corner Surman shoots, but is blocked and it's another AFCB corner. Burnley clear to Ibe. Hyndman and Ibe, but the keeper takes Hyndman's cross.

Hyndman is caught in possession. Hendrick 25 yards out and Steve Cook defends Gudmundsson to Wood and Cork drives his shot wide! 29 minutes gone.

Mings puts Cook in a spot, but he gets out of trouble. Burnley put Lennon in and Wood puts the ball over the bar from two yards out but Lennon was offside anyway.

Fraser and Cook clear, but Mouset loses the ball. Lennon to Cork, Henridk and Lowton Mings puts the ball out for a corner. Tarkowski pushes Aké in the back - free kick. 36 minutes gone and Mousset is tackled by Tarkowski.

Lennon, Begovic makes the catch. Cork and Mousset gets back to challenge. Westwood puts a cross in, Hendrick hits a volley, it's deflected off Chris Woods and Burnley have a goal. Burnley have the lead on 39 minutes!

Free kick to Bournemouth. Ibe puts the ball in but King heads wide. Burnley have the ball as we come up to half time. AFCB are continuing their record being behind having never won at Burnley. Gudmundsson puts in a free kick. The ball comes off Mousset for a corner. Begovic holds on to a header from Tarkowski.

One minute of added time. That's half time 1-0.

Second Half
King comes forward on the left and forces a corner. Ibe and King, Cook hits one into a crowd of players and Aké heads, it's another corner. Fraser takes the corner. Cook has the ball but is dispossessed.

Burnley with Ward and Gudmundsson, Lennon and Westwood. Mousset defends well. Long, over Mings, Hendrick and Begovic saves well.

Burnley have a corner. Bournemouth clear and Gudmundsson is offside. Mousset over hits the pass to Ibe.

Lowton and Lennon, Mings clears. Goal kick to Cherries after eight minutes of the second half. Cork and Hendrick. Westwood and Mings clears ahead of Lowton.

Bournemouth subs are warming up. 55 minutes gone. Daniels up to half way and Mousset. Steve Cooks takes the ball and Ibe cuts across field and finds Mousset and it's a deflected shot for a corner.

Burnley clear and Mings thinks about a shot and it's another corner.  Ibe plays the ball in but it's an easy take for Nick Pope.  Gosling and Wilson are coming on. Lys Mousset comes off on 59 minutes along with Hyndman, Gosling and Wilson come on.

Ibe and Wilson and Ibe on the byline puts the ball across but there is no one to finish. Chris Wood is off and Sam Vokes is on for Burnley.

Aké has moved into midfield. 17 minutes of the second half have gone. Fraser and Daniels have gone to full backs and Steve Cook and Mings are playing centre-backs.

Hendrick in front of goal and Gudmundsson and Lowton has put it over. Mings is down holding his left knee. Ibe is also down on the half way line.

Jermain Defoe is coming on. Mings is all right but is coming off. King in the box is down after Lennon's challenge, but it's no penalty only a corner. Could well have been a penalty.

Burnley now and Fraser makes a block with Gudmundsson coming on from behind. Begovic makes a catch. 70 minutes gone. Lennon into Hendrick and a corner to Burnley.

Hendrick and Surman and Gosling clear. Westwood and Vokes and Steve Cook clears. The Cherries are not putting pressure on Burnley yet and they have made all three of their subs.

King fond Defoe, turned away by Pope. King has equalised for Bournemouth! Curls it into the top corner from the six yards. King is going to end up AFCB's top scorer by the looks of it. 74 minutes gone.

Surman breaks with King a chance for Defoe but he has lost his footing. Ibe to King and Wilson but Tarkowski clears. Gosling now and Wilson, Ibe is closed down. Gosling is off side.

Gudmundsson is going off and Nakhi Wells is on. Steve Cook is hobbling but is going to continue. Ibe drives for goal and swerves his shot wide. Fraser plays a ball in Tarkowski clears. Fraser again, Ibe has his cross blocked.

Bournemouth have a corner. Ibe to take. The keeper has it. Gosling an Cork battle and Burnley ave  free kick. Hendrick to Vokes but Begovic gets there first.

Just two minutes to go. Wilson turns his man and puts it past the post! Hendrick through the middle and Wells puts his finish into the stands. Four minutes are added on.

Hendrick and Wells cross is cleared by Aké. Cook and Wells in a race and Cook wanted Begovic to come for it but was slow out. Ward and Surman clears.

Fraser to Wilson who an't control it. Defoe is through Wilson and he's scored! The 95th minute and Wilson gets a goal. Can't believe it! unselfish of Defoe. That give Howe his 100th league wins.

Surman gives the ball away. Cork into the back post and Lowton couldn't quite make it.

That's it an away win for AFCB.

Summary
Bournemouth's first ever win at Turf Moor gives the Cherries a 12th place finish and 44 points. Burnley will have been disappointed to not finish stronger, but the Cherries have been a team that come from behind this season. It was especially pleasing for the away fans to see a win as they have seen some poor games over recent months, but this result made up for it a bit when you consider Burnley will be playing in Europe next season. It should also be remembered that this is the first Premier League match that AFCB have won without Simon Francis being involved!
