I don't blame Alan Pardew for getting everyone behind the ball for WBA when they took on Liverpool as they were away from home and without a point in two games. But when Liverpool come to Dean Court I will certainly expect more than the one target that the Baggies managed to get on target against Klopp's team.
There's already history about Liverpool and Bournemouth games and with the recent transfers between the clubs, there is probably even more incentive for the Cherries to want to continue to do well against the Merseysiders. I believe Eddie Howe sees Liverpool as a side that plays an attractive kind of football that he admires and to beat them at their own game has been a big boost for his managerial status.
A haul of four points last season from the fixtures against Liverpool was beyond Bournemouth's wildest dreams but the task this season is probably harder still. Everything had perhaps been going to well for Klopp when they hammered Sparta Moscow 0-7 in the Champion's League and now a couple of draws against Everton and WBA has slowed their momentum. But Klopp will know that a trip to Bournemouth has not always worked out well for his team and however well his team prepares there will be that lingering thought of the 4-3 defeat last season when they had been 1-3 up. We can't forget though that Liverpool have scored 12 goals in their last three Premier League away games.
There is a reason for the positive opinions about Bournemouth and it is because they are doing so many of the right things. The goals against this season have only just reached 20 and there have not been any really heavy beatings but for the loss against Arsenal. Bournemouth have lost more games than they would have liked at home, but Dean Court is where Eddie Howe expects the team to express itself well. It doesn't matter that it's Liverpool this week. Bournemouth need a result and the bigger the team the bigger the three points will seem if Bournemouth can land them.
So don't expect a cautious and timid AFCB for the visit of Liverpool - fire might meet fire in this encounter. I'm hopeful of a few goals, but if AFCB could win by a margin of two clear goals in such a fixture there would be quite a different complexion put on Bournemouth's season. The goals might not have come at Old Trafford but they just might start flowing again at Dean Court.

Bournemouth need to get it together in front of their home fans. |
Eddie Howe is looking for something similar this season. He got a spark again of something special almost happening at Old Trafford and fans can sense that Bournemouth are going to have to find something special very soon to prevent themselves from dropping back towards the relegation zone. But the Cherries are not playing like a team in trouble and there are few mentions of Bournemouth at the moment when it comes to pundits suggesting who might go down.
