Bournemouth have to hit the training pitches hard

The defeat against Burnley showed how far behind Bournemouth are the teams in the top half of the division. Burnley were not really stretched until the last 15 minutes of the game, and if the Cherries want to emulate what they did last season they have much more work to do on the raining pitches.
Lewis Cook can exchange the training bib for the real shirt.
Just when November has been good for the Cherries, it turns round and turns sour. The fixtures have allowed AFCB to pick up some points and get out of the bottom three, but they have failed to build on solid performances against Newcastle and Huddersfield and now face a south coast derby that will again test the Cherries' soft underbelly. I want to see Bournemouth go at Southampton and push them back from the start by playing Fraser and Stanislas on the wings, if they are both fit and getting Lewis Cook on the ball. I don't think I'm alone in wanting some changes to the team but the next few days are vital in getting smarter on the training pitches and working out a more positive approach to games.

Bournemouth have taken their foot off the gas and the Southampton and Crystal Palace games are not ones that they can afford to come away with no points from. But if they don't shake up their passing and regain some sharpness in front of goal it will be a struggle to get points in these games as both opponents will see Bournemouth as a side they can attack.

Bournemouth have lost the momentum and feel good factor they grasped at Newcastle and they need to find it against Southampton or they'll be wiped aside. I never like to go in against Southampton after a disappointing result but Eddie Howe has to get the players gritting their teeth and fighting for every ball if they are not to drop back down the league further. Howe needs to see e that desire on the training pitches and players taking it into the game. If they are not on form don't pick them Eddie.

  1. An article just out says Lewis Cook has only NOW given Eddie "food for thought". What the hell is going on with this guy? We have been crying out for some creativity. Even our manager has been repeatedly moaning about our lack of 'creativity'. What's going on..... and WHY have no reporters been putting the same VERY obvious questions to Eddie Howe? What on earth has been the point of moaning about our lack of 'creativity' whilst refusing to play the most obviously creative midfielder we will ever have on the books? There is something seriously wrong inside this club if it's the supporters and fans who can recognise the quality of the Ake's and Lewis Cook's of this world before the manager can! This situation has gone far behond Eddie's stubbornness to change and loyalty to the old guard!
