Charlie will not be happy to miss Orient game

Charlie Daniels will not be sitting comfortably when watching the Cherries play Leyton Orient on Saturday. Having had two spells at the London club, Daniels will have been desperate to make a return to the "O's" and to play against his former team mates, but it's not to be this time round.

Charlie is still understood to be out following his foot injury sustained in the FA Cup tie against Wigan, although he did go on to play in the Hartlepool away game after this. He has a fracture on the base of his fifth metatarsal and was resting with the option of having an operation to pin or remove the fracture at the end of February. Let's hope he doesn't need an operation or his season will surely be over. We await further club news on this.

Since signing for the Cherries first on loan and then on a permanent deal in January 2012, Charlie has been sensational with his performances on the left. He has got such a great understanding with Marc Pugh that you would have though they had been playing together for many seasons. Charlie also has the ability to make dangerous runs into the opposition penalty box and has four goals and three assists this season.

He is also one of our best penalty takes and if we have to face those dreaded spot kicks in the play-offs I can't think of a more reliable Cherries player to hopefully fire us into the Championship from the 12 yard line. What a story that would make.

I'll be writing a short match preview for the Leyton Orient later today, so come and visit Cherry Chimes again then if you want to see what the Cherries will be up against on Saturday. Hopefully we can get back to winning ways.
