Wilson is ready to take on West Ham

While Bournemouth have not been rattling in a hat full of goals, they have been finding a few different goal scorers to get them out of trouble. But up front there really is limited options and while I believe Josh King and Junior Stanislas will step back in to contention this weekend, the man that Eddie Howe must hope does come through the next few months without any injuries is Callum Wilson.
Callum is ready to annoy West Ham again. This is AFCB's 100th Premier League game
and you can guess who scored AFCB's first goal in the Premier League.
Callum has been keeping his head down and just doing his job. But his job is scoring goals and while he was working hard and getting no return for most of the game against Arsenal, he was there when it mattered to knock in Ryan Fraser's cross to score Bournemouth's first goal in that game. The goal itself was mainly in the delivery of the cross and the bravery of Wilson to stretch his leg out in front of Peter Cech at the right time. Sometimes simple goals are just a striker's right and hopefully fortune is starting to favour Wilson now. He is already galloping ahead in the goal scorer's chart and while he will be pleased to get getting the odd goal, he will need to make more of an impact if he does want to push himself up the ranks for a possible place on the plane to Russia.

At the moment I am sure Wilson will only talk about what he can do for AFCB. The immediate aim is to play well against West Ham and to get the win. Callum has a bit of history against West Ham now and while he scored the fortunate equaliser the last time the two sides met, he'll be looking to do more than that today. He will be as disappointed as any Bournemouth player knowing that he won't get a chance to play in the FA Cup, but he will be focussed on the rest of the Premier League season now, and while that may make him even more anxious to score or get an assist, fans should want their best strikers to be feeling the pressure and knowing they have to deliver.

Take Wilson away and Eddie will be needing players like Josh King and Junior Stanislas to suddenly play on top form having been out for a few weeks. It's may be okay if one or two strikers are finding it hard to score, but it's really important that one is finding the net regularly and that is why Wilson has suddenly become such a key man for AFCB.
