Will Brooks' new contract dampen summer interest in him?

Bournemouth will hope that they have nailed down their new superstar with his new long-term contract. David Brooks will surely be on a great contract now among the top earners at the club, but does that mean the likes of Tottenham or Man Utd will turn their interest off the young Welsh star?

David Brooks signs up for a long-term contract at AFCB.
I suppose it makes AFCB feel a little more content that if any of the big clubs do come in for Brooks, they would get a better deal than they might have done. But the winner in all this is certainly the player. Brooks has been at AFCB less than a year and has already increased his salary and his reputation and he can enjoy playing his football knowing that other Premier League teams are also looking at him.

It is quite a rise for the player to find himself one of the prized assets in a Bournemouth team that haven't exactly been shy about spending big in the Premier League. They played under market value I'd say for Brooks, but his price-tag now is rising steeply.
The likes of Man Utd of course can throw the bank at a player if they really want him and no matter what AFCB have in their contract, they could be blown out the water by what a United could offer Brooks.

But the Cherries have to protect their assets as best they can an this is what they have done. Suitable replacements will be a struggle to find and it's underlining that the club has no intention to sell its best players. Somehow, I don't believe it will dampen any interest in Brooks from envious onlookers.
