It's crunch time for AFCB. They have a gap to the teams at the bottom of the table and should soon have players coming back into full fitness. But the points aren't on the board until they have been won and everyone looks to the 40 points marker as the safety net in the Premier League.
I just want Bournemouth to go into the Huddersfield game in a relaxed manner. Huddersfield have some players that can frustrate teams, even if they haven't managed much of late. The passing and vision of Aaron Mooy has to be checked and the runs of Alex Pritchard. But it's the goal scoring department where their biggest weakness can be assumed. Steve Mounie has scored a couple of goals, but none of the other strikers have netted. They'll be hoping Jason Puncheon who is on loan can help them in the scoring department, which averages 0.52 goals per game so far.
So, Bournemouth will see this as a very winnable match. The three points would put them on the crest of safety and if they fail to beat Huddersfield it will be a disappointing day for fans.
Brooks is back but how long to some of the others return? |
If Bournemouth were to beat Huddersfield it would put them in a superb position to chase down the club's highest points finish. While the pressure to escape the clutches of relegation could grow if they don't win, Bournemouth do have some time to accumulate enough points. But every week that goes by and those points aren't there, the doubts will start accumulating.

Although Huddersfield will be a physical test they don't find it easy keeping goals out at the other end ether. They have had five clean sheets but are averaging 1.76 goals against per game. So, Bournemouth will see this as a very winnable match.
