AFCB need a performance from Gosling

Dan Gosling has been used sparingly in this campaign, but he is a player who I see as an experienced member of the squad that can still improve further if he got a real run in the team. He is a better finisher than Surman, and at times even sharper than Arter at finishing off moves as he gets into the box regularly, and I don't see why he can't make a big impact in the game against West Ham.
There's a big performance waiting to come
out of Dan - now can see a great chance to excel.
The half that Gosling had up at Old Trafford was very much a tracking role to ensure Man Utd's midfield didn't get too much space. Pogba did manage to break free on occasions and might have scored a winner. Yet, Gosling did a pretty good job in making tackles and keeping the shape in central midfield where Rooney was largely nullified before Rashford, Fellani and Linguard made it even harder for Gosling and Arter.

So it was difficult for Gosling to play a very positive role against Man Utd. He didn't have much freedom to get forward. Plugging the gaps is what Gosling does well though and while he might wonder what more he has to do to win a regular place in the side I would pint towards his pass completions and accuracy. He has to get these higher and try and make the killer assist passes, if he wants to oust the regulars.

It will have been helpful that Dan got 45 minutes under his belt. He should fit seamlessly back int the side for the West Ham match. Many have been calling for a change in central midfield, and so there should be many eyes watching Dan to see if he can do the role well.
