Why the late, late goals for AFCB?

It might not matter that much when the goals go in as long as they go in, but Bournemouth's astonishing long run of late goals is really getting highlighted now and it can't just be a coincident that the side scores so many gaols in the last five minutes of games. The team tends to get stronger as games go on and whether that is just physical fitness or a strong desire not to get beaten, the character of the side is shining through when it comes to the end of games.
Josh King had to wait until the 89th minute to score, coming on as a second half sub.
Eddie Howe made some important subs against Crystal Palace to help encourage the comeback. A double substitution just after the hour gave the team a freshness that resulted in a goal just a couple of minutes later and sometimes the appearance of fresh faces just lifts morale a bit. But Bournemouth still had a lot of work to do after the Mousset goal as Palace scored again. It left the team in that desperate position again of facing defeat with time ticking away.

I did not feel that the home crowd were quite so expectant that the Cherries were going to get back this time. The noise from the stands wasn't quite as loud as it has been on some other matches when you felt there were more goals to come. Bournemouth were building some momentum with corners and yet Palace looked secure enough on most of them until King did find a yard at the back post to get the all important equaliser.

The late goals are stacking up and at Dean Court there always seems a good chance of the team getting a goal kicking towards the Steve Fletcher stand. The unbeaten record is starting to grow again now, and it will be good to see whether the team can get an early goal in one of the next couple of games just to change their mentality of being in the situation where they have to come from behind.
