The Cherries can take a big step towards safety this weekend

It may be a good time to play Stoke City. Mark Hughes has already admitted that they have to get back to basics. They have been conceding early goals and have not been finding their way back into games and Eddie Howe will know exactly how to hit the Potters hard and test their metal early on. Mark Hughes players will have been given a roasting though over the last week and the Cherries have to watch that they are not on the end of a Stoke recovery.

That will be difficult against Mark Hughes' side which have been working on trying to be harder to beat. Stoke City have been one of the teams looking at the top seven places, but now they are falling back fast. Teams that are in poor runs tend to work even harder during the weeks they have between games and the Cherries face a very different test to the one they had against Arsenal.
Stoke City have had to go back to basics this week.
Harry Arter already pointed out this week that the team are looking forward to games and are not trying to do anything other than pick up points at the moment. It is a winnable game and more than ever the Cherries will be aiming to make it an unpleasant afternoon for the opposition, but they need to find a cutting edge again.

Eddie Howe is only concerned with what AFCB are doing and is not concentrating on what teams below are doing, even if they are picking up points AFCB can't control that. "I think from our perspective as long as we are doing our bit it does not really matter what they do," he said.

Winning this game would take the Cherries along way towards mid-table and just behind Stoke City. That would go a long way to making Valentines Day even better in my house. Enjoy the game today. UTCIAD!

Eddie is in confident mood even if he expects a difficult game.
