AFCB must seize chance to climb above Watford

Bournemouth have the chance to do their first double of the season, if they can get a win against Watford at home. The teams are now looking to push their claim to a top 10 finish and a defeat would be costly for Bournemouth who would then be looking over their shoulder a little at the chasers with another three points dropped.
AFCB have enjoyed some good battles in recent years with Watford.
We know that one team that looked relatively safe at Christmas always falls away and it is vital now that AFCB get up to the 30 point mark in January. A big step would be a win over Watford. Having lost five of their last six games, Bournemouth are in need of a pick me up.

The fitness of the team is probably going to be the biggest deciding factor in the upcoming game. Bournemouth are struggling to keep in matches and are falling behind before half-time. If they can get a better start and take a lead into the second half, it will be more about game management. While Watford themselves have been holding station in mid-table they are capable of taking points in away games with their last successful away game against West Ham United.

Bournemouth are probably not in the kind of form they were early season against Watford, but having beaten them once their is an incentive of doing the double. Watford have scored nine goals in their last five league matches which is well ahead of Bournemouth's three goals in their last five games, but two of Bournemouth's goals were at home. Watford's top goal scorer is the midfielder Robert Pereyra who has six and a shooting accuracy of 40 per cent.

Bournemouth will also have to try and beat Ben Foster in Watford's goal who has made four clean sheets this season, having made 52 saves. That is just six saves less than Begovic, who has one more clean sheet.
