Leicester are as imposing as ever

The table has Leicester City just one point behind Bournemouth having won two and lost two of their matches in the Premier League. The teams that Leicester have played and lost to are Liverpool and Man Utd, so considering that they have beaten an attacking Wolves side and Southampton away, Bournemouth can't expect a simple game against the Foxes.
Leicester will overtake AFCB if they win at Dean Court.
Jamie Vardy has not been a feature of most of the games this season having been sent off against Wolves. The new signing that is getting a lot of praise is James Maddison who moved from Norwich City over the summer and he scored on his home debut against Wolves. Leicester have also started to give Adrien Silva some games, after his long transfer saga last year, and that has put pressure on Damarai Gray. Iheanacho has been used as a sub in the main, and he now has Okazaki trying to get into the team as well as Vardy.

One player Bournemouth fans won't be as familiar with is winger Rachid Ghezzal who joined Leicester from Monaco in the summer. He embarrassed Liverpool's new keeper Alisson to score the first goal against Liverpool this season and clearly likes to chase lost causes.

Claude Puel has led a gentle revolution at Leicester and has been among the favourites to lose his job early this season. He has moved the team to a more possession based team which you would think the fans would enjoy more. But losing narrowly to Man Utd and Liverpool is no disgrace, and Leicester have won the games they would have been expecting to win. Whether Puel's style of football really has the fans motivated though is another matter.

Leicester would go above Bournemouth if they win this match, and Bournemouth have to beat teams like Leicester if they are to climb the league. These games have been very close in recent seasons and with both teams having a record of six goals for and five against, we can expect another tight game that could be decided by one incident.

  1. Nothing to fear from Leicester. Wolves should have had the game won in the first 27 minutes having hit the woodwork 3 times.
