AFCB have needed top quality goal scorers in the Premier League. They always knew it would be difficult against the top sides and that hitting the target was going to be far more difficult than when the team were in the Championship. Yet a goal tally of 42 is by no means the lowest in the Premier League and when you consider Max Gradel, Callum Wilson and Harry Arter have not had full seasons there is every indication that this team has firepower that it can build on.
Last weekend's game was disappointing in that the Cherries did not test Begovic as much as they might have. While Eddie Howe has a fabulous group of strikers he is still trying to find the best balance now that more players are in contention for starting places. As we are approaching the end of the season it is perhaps a nice problem to have only the goals have dried up and the Cherries need a goal spark in their last three games to improve their points tally and perhaps get them up to 45-48 goals.
I am not clear on whether such targets have been set but I am sure that Lewis Grabban wants to get at least one goal before the season ends. We have heard little news on Glenn Murray since his twisted ankle and he still might get a valuable goal or two if he is on the sub's bench in any of the remaining games, while Callum Wilson and Benik Afobe cold still catch Josh King especially if they start the next few games.
Seeing as AFCB were considered more of a match for Chelsea in the first half of the last game though it may be King and Stanislas that keep their places for Everton. I believe the fans want to see Callum start and Eddie has a decision to make in whether to continue to protect him and limit his minutes on the pitch or let Bournemouth's goal machine go about his business.
