The Cherries' Marbella training camp will really test players

The Cherries head to the Marbella Football centre on 7th July and there will have been quite a lot of organising to do in the last few days. When they get to Marbella though, they are guaranteed plenty of football pitches and no doubt great weather to prepare with some intensity for the pre-season games and the sharpness that they will need for the upcoming season.
AFCB's players will be out in Marbella tomorrow.
It will be a break from the long-distance hauls to America that the side has made for the last couple of seasons, and while there are so many top sides training in Spain there may be less attention on the Cherries' training camp than we have seen in the last couple of years. Still, the training is what they will value, and if ACB can add a bit of Spanish swagger to their passing game they might do even better than last season. As the training ground for young footballers to learn how to play the Barcelona way, AFCB couldn't be much better looked after for all their needs.

While some AFCB fans might make the trip out to Marbella, the game against Portuguese side GD Estoril Praia in the Stadium Municipal Marbella next week may not be that full of fans, so we'll hopefully have a live feed of the game to see, especially as it may be the first glimpse we get to see some of the new signings in action.

The match may not mean much in terms of what it tells us but it will be be good to see the preparations for the 2016/17 season really get underway. The summer training camp will tell us a lot about who is looking in shape as will the pre-season friendlies, but it's a tight schedule ahead and lots of action to get through before we get to August.

In other news, Aaron Ramsdale helped England's U19s through to the Uefa European Championship Semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Holland. There are also a number of re-scheduled matches for AFCB.
