Are AFCB headed for new territory?

The win at Watford was a real break through in terms of the mentality of AFCB. AFCB had lost to Chelsea and Burnley and earlier in the season and taking on another away game against a team that had started the season well was no easy game. The Cherries didn't shift from the game plan though of soaking up the Watford corners and possession, while hitting them as hard as possible on the break.
AFCB;s game plan was strong against Watford.
Whether Bournemouth are heading for new territory is still impossible to tell at the moment. Averaging two points a game though would suggest that AFCB are likely to have an excellent chance of setting new records. After 10 games last season AFCB only had seven points. The players certainly appear hungrier than ever to do well and the goal power of the team is now better than it has ever been in the Premier League.

Sustaining the performances is Eddie Howe's new objective. The players have demonstrated that they can win back-to-back games. But there are other targets they can try and beat like their longest unbeaten run and the number of clean sheets. It's very exciting to be eight games into the season and all possibilities remain and seem achievable, because the belief is growing.

The teams above AFCB in the league have not won all of their games, and there is going to be some great occasions ahead for the Cherries when they do face the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs. These games are going to be even bigger games than usual, because if Bournemouth do start picking up points in these games they will be stepping into new territory. While pundits will say it shouldn't be possible for AFCB to keep up with the front runners, the only picture AFCB should look at is the next game. If they keep beating what is in front of them, the opinions will change.

Dean Court Days Competition winners!
The correct answer was that John Bond singed Harry Redknapp to joining Bournemouth in 1972. Well done to all those who got the answer right and took part in the competition. The three winners that were pulled out of the hat and who had the correct answer were: Siobhan Meaker, Iain Craig and Allan Blakely.
