Bournemouth have held on to their unbeaten home record with two draws against Everton and Southampton. With Man United and Arsenal the next teams to visit Dean Court in the league, some may expect the home record to go in the next few weeks. But for any team to get something at Dean Court that was more than a point you do have to go back to 18 April and Man United's last visit.
We are more used to needing to win home games to ensure AFCB stay in the league, but it is different in that now it is very awkward for teams coming to our stadium. Southampton brought a lot of supporters, but were hardly heard for much of the match. It must be daunting when AFCB have their full-head of steam up and are, as Willo likes to suggest, a team of 'Red Arrows' coming at you from all directions.
The players will no doubt be told when the big teams do come that the Cherries have an unbeaten record to defend. Being unbeaten at home is something to hold on to and a reason to get motivated for the upcoming games. The pleasing thing about the Southampton draw was that AFCB didn't play well and still didn't get beaten. Taking that a step further though against the very best sides in the league is the test that AFCB will soon face. But this season it is more about whether the team can beat these teams convincingly rather than whether they can just be competitive - I believe there has been a mind change there. Hopefully it brings further results.

Having only played Chelsea of the perennial top six clubs, Bournemouth may have had a generous fixture list, but they have made the most of it. The chance is still there to make it a home record that won't be far behind Man City, if they win their next two home games, and it has become almost expectant that Bournemouth will have their way with teams when they play at home.
