Fraser don't have a burnout

Ryan Fraser has been brilliant at the start of this season for Bournemouth, but its disappointing that he has had to pull out of Scotland's international squad. it's annoying for McLeash as Fraser has saved has best football for the Cherries, but I do fear that Fraser has to be careful of burnout if he doesn't get some rest soon. He was a doubt before the Watford game and now his hamstring is showing signs of being injured.
Fraser will benefit from a rest.
Reports are that Fraser wanted to stay with the Scottish squad and wanted to be available to play even though he failed a fitness test. His hamstring was not good enough and he has been sent back to the Cherries. I just hope that Fraser can rest up for a few days and get the treatment he needs for his injury. He has plenty of time to play for Scotland and his concern has to be for his own fitness at times like this, even if he knows he is in great form and wants to show how good he is for his country.

Sometimes modern players just need to take a step back and listen to what their bodies are telling them. I'm sure Fraser thinks he can walk on water at the moment as everything is coming off for him, but if he does't listen then he'll end up missing more games in the long run. He's a sensible lad though and I expect Eddie Howe will be questioning him in the next week about his fitness.

The game against Southampton is important of course and it would be great to have Ryan fit for it, but if he needs a rest then it may be a good time to let him have a short breather ahead of even bigger fixtures in November.

Eddie Howe probably has similar concerns for David Brooks who has not had a full season in the Premier League. There are good options on the bench, and if Ibe and Stanislas are ready to go I don't see that AFCB would be doing themselves any favours by running Brooks and Fraser too hard at this point of the season.

In other news, David Books came on as a second half sub to have 45 minutes against Spain for Wales with the Welsh losing 4-1. Asmir Begovic also played the second half for Bosnia Hezegovina against Turkey in a 0-0 draw. and Lewis Cook played 90 minutes for England's U21 in a 7-0 win over Andorra.
