Okay, who is going to be first to show off their home kit today? Photo from AFCB |
While the Carbini name and the style of the new shirts are likely to be the main talking points of the launch, there are also new shorts, socks and ladies' sizes for the first time, while away, third and goalkeeping, plus training kits are still to come. It is good to see that prices are still £40 for a new home adult shirt and that the 20 per cent price hike from the season tickets has not been replicated. New merchandise will also soon be in full swing and these days you don't even need to go down to the club shop to get your orders in. I just hope there is not an online crash like we saw with the Liverpool tickets!
For many though the new shirt may not be such a priority, after all the old kit was only released a year ago and probably looks as good as new if it is anything like mine. The club though needs to sell as many shirts and season tickets as it can and I expect the campaign to go well into the new season and some may well weaken before then and be tempted to have the hot off the press design on their back.
With the new shirts finally here though it will soon become more apparent that fans would like to see some new players wearing them and while Dan Gosling will surely be well photographed come 1 July, it is very intriguing to wonder just who could be being lined up next in AFCB colours.
Michael Dunne of All Departments was at the club yesterday so he took this snap of the work going on at the ground to give you all an update.

As England have another game tonight we look at Honduras and what opposition they are likely to give Hodgson's team on World Cup Chimes.
