New league fixtures just around the corner

I can see some AFCB supporters getting a bot nervous now having purchased their new home kit and sitting in their living room strapped into the World Cup viewing while wondering at the back of their heads just when the new SKYBet Championship kicks off, and which teams the Cherries will be playing in August? You don't have to wait much longer. First of all the Capital One Cup 1st round draw takes place on 17th June and then its all eyes down for the Championship fixture release on 18th June.
Who will the League computer select to play AFCB first up?
The Cherries were at home for the first match last season so I am guessing that it will be an away start this time around. The nearest fixtures is surely Brighton, now that Yeovil have departed from the Championship, although a first day derby fixture against the Seagulls is asking for a lot. It will be a shame for those who can't travel far if that 9th August game is Middlesbrough, but we have to play them on one day. I suppose we should be glad of a few games in the capital. The fixtures will be tough no matter what order they come in, but things will start to become very real when you can start planning which home and away games you are going to attend and when you might be able to squeeze a holiday in.

It is when it comes to the cup draws that I become particularly excited. Let's face it we know the teams that are going to play the Cherries in the league but the cups are any one's guess.

A good site for calculating those distances is found at Sportsmap, although it has not been updated with the new teams in the Championship yet.
