Some individual soul searching for the Cherries

The AFCB players have been fantastic for several seasons. They are a tight group that have had untold success, but they now have to look at what they can achieve this season. They can roll their sleeves up and make it more difficult for the opposition or they can shy away and hope that they don't get beaten so severely every week. I know what the AFCB players will choose to do and their hard working ethic has to start getting results, as if a team is just slightly off the pace it will get found out and let's face AFCB are getting found out.

Eddie Howe said; "It's been a pattern for us this season really, where players have made individual errors at a moment and it's either cost us a victory or from a drawing position, cost us a win. It's difficult for us to know how to eradicate that. You are relying on individuals to do a certain job."
Eddie has to rekindle the eagerness that took the
Cherries to the Championship title last season.
There may not be a simple solution it could just be the gap between some of the players and the Premier League and the adjustment to that it going to take time. But Artur Boruc, Sylvain Distin, Dan Gosling and Andrew Surman have all been here before. It is surprising that Artur Boruc is having such a bad time in goal and it is now essential that he either finds his form or asks for some time out. I say that not lightly as Artur is I believe the best goalkeeper the club has and has still made some outstanding saves even when he has been making some mistakes, but the back four need more confidence and the goalkeeper is key in that.

Against Liverpool there will be changes and Federici, Cargill, MacDonald, Arter, Rantie and Kermorgant are among those that have everything to gain by putting in great performances up at Anfield. The back four has remained relatively unchanged since the injury to Tommy Elphick, but Adam Smith and Joe Bennett should push now for places.

While the team is still creating chances it is the back four and keeper that need a confidence boost. Doing the simple things is now where the team have to find that confidence. We may not see such flowing football for a few weeks, but just being hard to beat can earn you points in this league and AFCB are a long way from that at the moment.
