Is motivation a problem at Bournemouth?

It is hard to think of excuses for Bournemouth's lack of performance at Leicester. The team had been on a two week break and most of the players had been busy whether on international duty or training away in Dubia, but the  togetherness of the squad was perhaps not as focused as it might have been if Bournemouth had been in a run of games.
Motivation is still needed to get more points.

Had Bournemouth not conceded against Newcastle in the final minute of their previous game they might have played with a bit more freedom. However, the club has not reached the 40-point mark yet and there needs to be a real concentration on getting the points and to redefine what targets have to be met before the end of the season.

Motivation can be a problem at this stage of the season. The players know they are almost at the summer break and the tough run of away games really sapped confidence as well as energy. They have to dig deep now and find some reserve energy for the final games. All those teams down the wrong end of the table are scrambling for points, and Bournemouth need to have that kind of desire as well or they will find other teams passing them in the league.

Eddie Howe has already said there are no excuses. He is tasked with the job of motivating the players and this is not how he will want AFCB to be finishing their season. Howe will want some momentum to take into the new season. He needs to get some fun and enjoyment back into the team and not see the last few games as a slog.

In other news, AFCB has the planning permission to go ahead with the new multi-million pound training ground at the former Canford Magna Gulf site.
