The performance of Lys Mousset was one of the most encouraging points of the Carabao Cup defeat to Chelsea. While Lys has been confined to getting five and 10 minutes here and there in the Premier League, he demonstrated that he is ready to play a bigger part in AFCB's season.
Josh King did get on against Chelsea, but he didn't look as sharp as Mousset and there should be some thought in Howe's mind as to whether he should start with Mousset and Wilson against Brighton on Saturday. It may not be what the manager was planning on doing, and while King has been given a bit of a rest in not having to play 90 minutes in midweek, there is a lot of credence in playing players that are in form and Mousset is certainly at the top of his game.
The game against Brighton at home would be a great match for Mousset to start in my opinion. He would still be on a high from the Chelsea match and could see how his partnership with Wilson could develop, if either of them could get on the score sheet. Trying something new could just gives the team that new spark and Lys is ready now.

Can Mousset make his name in the Premier League now? |
On Thursday morning, the Bournemouth Echo reported that Lys Mousset has been liked with Fulham for a January move. Considering how well he played against Chelsea I'd say that is a complete no, no now, as Lys linked so well with Callum Wilson that it is a partnership that Howe could now look to develop.

You can say that Mousset didn't score, but he did just about everything else. His general play was quick of thought, well controlled and very neat. His passing was always positive and he provided great support for Callum Wilson. To see how much he had come on really took me by surprise, but Lys should not be bottled away now. He has been released and fans should want to see more of him that the odd five minutes. He could be the surprise package for AFCB this season, if he is given a run of games, while it may also sharpen up Josh King to fight harder for his place. The game against Brighton at home would be a great match for Mousset to start in my opinion.
