Brett Pitman is upping his game. |
Brett has been one of the players that AFCB fans have not been so sure about to start games, but Eddie has stuck with him and that confidence in Brett is giving the player an added boost. It would be easy to shy away and not volunteer to take the penalty especially when Matt Ritchie was on a hat-trick, but Brett wants to do his bit for the team and his successful convention from the spot was important for him as well as the team.
The only thing that was disappointing about Brett's performance was his yellow card for punching the ball as he tried to score a goal earlier on. It's not the way AFCB players want to be known for and I am sure Brett will cut that out of his game. I bet his heart sank for a moment when he handled the ball in the second half and gave away a free kick again - luckily he did not get another yellow and a sending off.
