SKYSports has been reporting that Darren Mattocks of Vancouver Whitecaps is being assessed by AFCB as a striker option. The 24-year-old Jamaican international is apparently training with the Cherries until 11 January. While he started well in the MLS with six goals in his first nine games his overall record for the club is currently 16 goals in 71 appearances, which does not make him seem such a sensation.
I had a quick look up on YouTube to see what I could find on the young striker and you'll see from this that he can certainly jump high and creates space to get into positions to shoot well. It looks like he does his best work in the box as an out and out finisher.
His first cap for Jamaica was in 2012 and he was been a regular scorer in 2014 for his national team.
Meanwhile, The Bournemouth Echo has reported that Jayden Stockley is looking at a loan move to Luton Town for a month, while Josh Carmichael is being loaned to Welling. Joe Partington is on loan to Eastleigh as reported previously.
