By the sample of tweets on social media, AFCB fans were more than happy with seeing the Cherries getting an away draw in the Fourth Round in the cup to Aston Villa. Perhaps it is destiny for AFCB to beat Birmingham, West Brom and Aston Villa this season? What a nice treble that would be.
A trip to Villa of course gives a chance for our players to test themselves against some top class Premier League players. Villa have been finding goals hard to come by and their fans were less than happy with their teams performance against Blackpool in the last round. Paul Lambert was shouted out by Villa fans for their poultry return of one goal against Blackpool, but it was the first game in their last 16 FA Cup games when they had managed a clean sheet.
With the Leeds away fixture being moved to make way for the fourth round tie on 24 Jan, it should enable a healthy following AFCB crows to see the game on a Saturday. The only complication could be the tie of Birmingham v West Brom game at the same time - perhaps one fixture will be moved for TV watching. I'm looking forward to it already. UTCIAD!
This is a fan’s personal view of AFC Bournemouth from the outside looking in. It reports on the daily official activities reported by the club and comments made by individual fans on social media and fanbase websites. Life as an AFCB fan is never dull. As a life-long supporter of the Cherries, it is the friendliness of the staff, fans and my enthusiasm for the club that inspired me to write this blog.
