Take a deep breath - three to go!
If you are anything like me you have been on cloud nine for the last 72 hours. It was a terrific display from AFCB to get a win up at Reading and now they can turn their attention to two consecutive home games which could well secure promotion in front of their home fans. Well that is what I am sure we are all hoping and that the final game of the season is a formality. However, it is very likely that the Cherries need to win all three games and while it has been really nervous and exhausting just watching the team I imagine the players are equally excited about their prospects now from the reaction I saw them give after the Reading game.

The few days between the win at Reading and today's fixture against Sheffield Wednesday will have been crucial hours. Steve Hard and his physio team must be working around the clock to get the players ready again and Eddie Howe said that there were no more major injuries after Tuesday night. While the spotlight fell on other teams last night and will do so again on Friday, there is a spirit now about this current run that gives me belief that the Cherries can secure the points they need to go up automatically. We know that one slip and everything will look very different, but everyone has to be positive now and I hope to see lots of smiling faces around Dean Court when I come down this weekend.
It is hard to take it all in at the moment as the culmination of this season is heading towards a roaring finish. Two of the top four teams you would suspect are going to be overjoyed come the end of 2nd May, but two will have to face the play-offs. That AFCB have a play-off place and with their goal difference are already likely to finish at least fifth and most certainly higher is a fantastic achievement already to all the staff and players. AFC Bournemouth are not only on the map they are drawing their own future and it could well lead to the 'Promised Land' as Jeff Mostyn likes to say.
The end of the league will come fairly quickly now I feel as even with a week between the Sheffield and Bolton game there will be plenty of excitement and anticipation. Keep taking deep breaths - we are almost there! You can make it a winning atmosphere today - give it everything for 90 minutes. UTCIAD!
