This is a fan’s personal view of AFC Bournemouth from the outside looking in. It reports on the daily official activities reported by the club and comments made by individual fans on social media and fanbase websites. Life as an AFCB fan is never dull. As a life-long supporter of the Cherries, it is the friendliness of the staff, fans and my enthusiasm for the club that inspired me to write this blog.

Steve Fletcher an evening with - should be a blast
I was sitting in the Family stand at the Real Madrid game when Michael Dunne of All Departments reached over and said notice anything missing with the North stand. I pondered and looked for a while before saying, oh Steve Fletcher has gone. Indeed the new sponsor of the North stand is the Gosport-based company Aerial Direct. So Steve has been waxed and made into a manikin, then put in a glass case in the club shop. Luckily that the one we will be watching on 1 August also has a voice and I can't wait to hear some of the tales he has to disclose on some of his past team mates.
I understand we will hear about Steve's all time AFCB XI and there will be a raffle and a silent auction to win some of Steve's own personal items - perhaps his old saucepans for cooking Brussels sprouts in.
I expect that the way the evening will be run is with Steve answering organised questions from the announcer rather from the audience directly. That way he will have no surprises, but I am sure he will give a good account of his past experiences and some of the things that have gone on behind closed doors. Even if Steve does not provide the laughs there will be Scott Charlton, a comedian as well so he is not a Saints fan!
